If you sing a leasing agreement with an owner but they are no longer the owner after your lease expires can the new owner use it

If you signed in February, 2015 for 2 years that expired in February, 2017. After the expiration, depending on whether there was an automatic renewal clause in the lease, you either had a renewal then or were a month-to-month tenant. I assume that yoiu were just a month-to-month tenant.
Then 10 months later, so December 2017 you signed a "renewal" for another 2 years. I put the quotes around renewal because it ws really more of a new lease, just on the old terms. I assume, that it doesn't read, "this lease is renewed for a period of 2 years," but rather says something like, "this lease is renewed beginning December 1, 2017 and terminating on December 31, 2019." If it said the former, it POSSIBLY could mean that it expires this month. Otherwise, you signed a new lease and are almost assuredly bound until the expiration date in December. There may be some other out for you, but I doubt it. Landlords don't usually give tenats escape clauses like that.
You may be able to negotiate an early termination with the landlord, especially if you don't need/want to get out now, but perhaps sometime in a few months, perhaps the summer giving the landlord the ability to re-lease the property, you may be able to work a deal that is good for everyong.
Depending upon how much your monthly lease payment is, you may want to negotiate it your self. If it is higher, it may be worth your while to hire an attorney to do the negotiation. Usually, others can to a better job of negotiating because: a) they do it for a living; b) they don't have a personal (emotional) stake in the deal; and c) there is more leverage because you are the decision-maker, not the negotiator, a negotiator can be more forceful on behalf of a client.
