I have only verbally been told that I was being seperated from my job but there wasnt a written statement of why. I would like to have that written so I understand the issue better and know why I am being terminated. Its only he said/she said type of explantaion
No, your employer is not required legally to give you a written explanation of why you were fired. Arizona is an "at will" employment state. You can be fired for any reason other than a discriminatory one. If you believe you were fired based on discrimination (race, ethnicity, age, gender, disability), you should file a complaint with the EEOC or the Arizona Attorney General's Office Civil Rights Division.
