Need your advice.
While in US I got my Visa status change in November 2015 (from L1b to H1b).
I am working since January 15 2016 on H1b with my new company.
For last 1 year we had our application pending for Canada PR. And it got approved this week. We are asked by Canadian Authorities to enter Canada and get our PR Card within 2 months and to keep the PR Active.
Now the trouble is; we dont have any issue entering Canada but we would need to get our H1b stamp while being in Canada and to reenter US.
Is H1b Visa stamping possible in Canada at a US Consulate there?
Generally, if we have the necessary docs (Pay Stubs, Approved i-797, Experience Letter etc.) then is it safe and advisable to get our H1b stamping in Canada and not our home country (India)?
Pls. advice as accordingly we would take next steps.
Consular processing in Canada is generally faster for folks in your circumstances (H-1B nonimmigrants from India). You should speak to the attorney that prepared the H-1B Petition as that person is most familiar with your case and can offer you guidance on any risks. No attorney can every advise you that any particular course of action is 100% safe, however (I know, we are such a pain!). Good luck.

Yes. you may go to US consulate in Canada as it would be much faster. However, make sure you let your attorney know.
You can travel to Canada and return to the United States pursuant to the automatic visa revalidation rule. If you must request the H-1B visa in Canada I suggest that you discuss this issue with the company's immigration attorney to determine your eligibility in light of your Canadian residency.
