a female friend is pregnant by her 16 year old boyfriend she is 20. he got arrested and when she went to his court hearing the judge brought up the age difference and told her not to have contact with her boyfriend at all does this mean charges will be brought against her? also she is 5 months pregnant
Your friend needs to be very careful as she could potentially be charged with a sex offense because of the age difference. If she was ordered to not have contact by a judge, then she needs to NOT HAVE CONTACT. If she does, she could be charged with violating a court order. This charge is separate from any felony sex offense that she's looking at. She really needs to consult with an attorney before anything bad happens.
That is VERY possible. Even VERY likely to happen. She needs to get in contact with an Arizona criminal defense attorney as soon as possible for advice.
