My previous roommate when trying to get me evicted, clearly stated in a text I still have, that since I was never on the lease at our apartment, only on file as an occupent, that I had no legal obligations to the apartment and therefore must leave when asked by her. After a whole ordeal of me telling her she had to file a 30 day eviction notice, let me stay until I found a house. During my continued stay she called the cops on a friend who was staying in my room, needles to say I spent a lot of money bailing him out of jail. Now she is claiming she will take me to a small claims court if I don't pay her the last month's rent money on top of other bills. My name is on absolutely no bills, no lease, and I was just an occupent. I refused to pay, for one since she was so uncivil towards the end of my stay, and for two because I just don't have the money to pay her.
