My landlord sent us a letter, under our door, stating that according to our lease and Woodford County Housing Authority, we had to pay full July rent regardless of move out date. Although according to Woodford County Housing Authority AND our lease it was a pro-rated rent if we did not live in the apartment the full month.
If they did not publish the letter to anyone other than you... there is probably no liability. Further, the information is not personal to you, rather it was relating to your move out date and rent. I dont think that would rise to an actionable level. If the landlord attempts to sue you or places a negative report on your credit, then you could have an action against him and should speak with a local lawyer.
