Married partners in Illinois are responsible for the unpaid medical bills of their spouse. I am considering marrying a 67 yr old (9yrs older than me). If my older husband starts to get medically expensive, can I divorce him and still live with him? Or would that be considered fraud? Can I put him in memory care without it touching the savings I have for my children. We both have living trusts set up with our wishes.
