A background check will show that she will that she was arrested charges dismissed. She can do an expungement to clear the records.
She can clear the prints from the NJ system but not the Feds. She will need to expunge the NJ records. Otherwise they remain in the system.
I agree with the other answers but should note that if the charge was completely dismissed she is eligible to have the record expunged immediately. An expungement will not only clear the arrest record but will give her the right to deny that she has ever been arrested in the first place. An expungement does not require a court appearance.
