My 18th birthday he gave me a car with a big bow on it and said it was mine. He never said anything about the title so it might be under his name but since it was a gift from September, isn't that gift mine?
If he intended it as a gift and gave it to you as a gift then he cannot legally "take it back." Unless there are facts that you have left out I don't believe he has any right to reclaim the vehicle.

If he titled the car in his name that would be a written documentation that it was never intended as a gift.
