I was sentenced to drug court in Mississippi under a violent crime and the HB 585 states that no one with a violent crime shall be eligible for drug court. I was terminated and sent to prison and stabbed and brought back before the judge to get back in drug court. Therefore if I was never sentenced to that I may or may not have gone to prison and been stabbed therefore I would also like to know if I could file a civil suit against said county
Maybe. With this type of case, you need to set up a consultation with an attorney. For example, I would need to ask you many questions to determine how strong your case is. On Avvo, you can click on a profile picture of an attorney to get to private messaging. Also, here are many excellent attorneys in your locality that may provide free initial consultations. Good luck.
