I watch porn I admit it but one night I saw a video that involved an animal (dog) have a sexual act with a woman. I could not believe that tilt was real so I clicked on the video and sure enough it was. I did not think nothing much of it and I was sure that it was not illegal since it was on the same website that I uasually use. I have been sent a fine of $500 and have to pay it in three days. Should I take it to court and tell them that I was unaware of the actions I committed was a crime or should I just pay the fine
You are being scammed.
While it is unlawful in WA to have sex with animals, the government does not sends notices of fines, especially through emails, text messages, phone calls, etc. The government just comes and arrests the alleged violator (or sends a summons through the postal service), charges that person with criminal law violations, and hold hearings in court.
For you to be fined, you would have had gone to court. If you are fined by government, you will have a few more days than 3 days to pay.
What you likely need to be is to make sure your electronic devices are not infected by malware (when you visited that site).
You can review the specific facts with your attorney to find out your legal options.
I would ask who sent you the fine and under what authority. It sounds like a scam.
