If I leave everything to my baby in my will, would the guardian have access to the money to support him?

You need a lawyer and you also need to decide who would be your executor and who you would request would be named by the court at least the temporary guardian of the baby. Do you any adoptive parents in mind? I cannot help but wonder what exactly is behind your questions in the sense you feel to ask questions which anticipate your not being around. Good luck to you and your baby.

Speak with an attorney concerning your specific situation so that your assets are used according to your wishes without causing additional issues.
For example, if the insurance is payable to your Estate, and your minor child is the sole beneficiary, then the Court appointed Personal Representative (and any Guardian) would have to pay for a Bond to distribute the assets (includuing the insurance proceeds). The Guardian would be restricted from using those funds except as the local Circuit Court approves unless the funds are designated to be used for something that you stated i advance.
