I recieved a text from my landlord saying they're moving. I have 10 days 4 now to move out. To my knowledge the claim for Escrow if im out by the 1st of April wilw i get my deposit. If im not i wont. Im not stupid but can this happen. Need help quick. Thanks
I'm not certain why you have to move because your landlord is moving, I am assuming you are in some sort of Sub-Lease situation. The return of your security deposit has nothing to do with the notice provided for you to move. It however, does allow for a potential breach of contract claim and thus could assist you in getting money back for damages from your current landlord.
I would suggest you get in touch with an Attorney in your area to be advised of your rights and responsibilities associated with this matter. Please use the Find a Lawyer feature above to assist in locating an Attorney in your area.
