My grandmother passed away a month before my p.o visitation so it be around at the time I slipped up,and smoked weed I was honest with a p.o officer n told them before they screened me there could be a possibility of a failed screen for weed, and indeed I failed,, the .p.o asked if I wanted them to call before they send out a violation ,i said yes off course, iv been doing good paying every month showing up , and all they asked,iv done,. Just really concerned I may get jail time, being a single mother working full time i would lose a lot. If i maybe consider drug classes and such sort would that help ?

Best answer will come from asking p.o.

Completing some drug counseling/rehab classes before your court date on the VOP certainly won't hurt. It will show your probation officer, the DA, and the judge that you are trying to straighten up. You should definitely hire an attorney before you get to court. The more classes/counseling you complete before court, the better. And also, of course, show up to court able to pass a drug screen.
