On the DDS website it says I must've changed my address with the US Postal Service...how do I go about doing that? Can I simply go to the DMV and get my address changed?
What DDS is really after is an updated drivers license. However, it makes practical sense to go to the post office and make a change of address as well, even if this does not fall under the DDS review. Also, the important thing is that you get a new license before you have to undergo a traffic stop. The officer will not check to see what the time frame was that you changed address, only that it is current at the time of stop.
Each state has different rules on registration. I would check with your local DMV and make sure that your driver's license reflects your current address. I would also update your auto insurance company with the correct information ASAP.
