You will not have the chance for a bond at the second appearance b/c there won't be a judge at that court date. If you were denied bond then you will not even be at your second appearance b/c they do not transport detainees for that date. Retain an attorney to look at your situation and see what can be done.
There will not be a chance for getting a PR bond at your second appearance. You need to either speak with your public defender or hire an attorney to help you get released on bond. If you had a bond set and can not pay it, it is unlikely that they will reduce that bond amount to a PR bond unless there is a reason. If you can not hire an attorney, you should speak with the public defender or speak with family members to see if they could help you out.
Probably not. If the bond was denied initially it may have been that it was a bond that could only be set by a Circuit Court in which case even though it’s a second appearance, it really would be the first time the Court had jurisdiction to consider the bond. If that’s the case, it may be possible. However, if it was denied the first time by the Magistrate for a reason other than jurisdiction, the chances of getting a PR bond on the second appearance are slim. Call me if you need help.
