If you had a CA license at the time of the AZ DUI, then CA DMV will find out about it. You will need the help of an experienced DUI/DMV lawyer to help you maintain your CA license.

You can drive in CA with a valid license, the prime issue is whether you have a CA license or an AZ license. If you have a CA license you will eventually have an issue with your license.
