This woman put a restraining order on me for defending myself against her.
I would recommend viewing the "restraining order" to make sure it is in fact a restraining order and not an order of protection or some other type of order. Orders can expire on their own accord if the order itself states that it expires on a certain date. Out of an abundance of caution, it is never a bad idea to obtain an order of the court that the prior order has expired or is no longer in effect. If it is a civil remedy, then you technically do not have a record. However, if it involved a criminal citation, then you may need to meet with a criminal defense attorney to see if it can be expunged from your record.
