Buyer wants to change from his trust to him personally because his mortgage lender requires it. I want to back out of the contract . If I don't sign the amendment is it null and void. Is that a counter?
Responding from a New York perspective and based upon the language in your contract, I would opine that you have no obligation to have to agree to change contract terms and if your purchaser is thereby unable to get a mortgage then in that instance it will be the purchaser who will be forced to cancel the deal.
