My renter gave me a verbal notice to leave but hasn’t applied a written notice as I request now she won’t pay her monthly rent of $750.00 what can I do to cancel are Room for Rent Agreement and agree on her verbal request to move on the December 16th. I no longer want to continue with this lodger.
This is an interesting question because while you might have a legal remedy for a tenant that is refusing to pay rent by evicting them, it sounds like she is going to leave in 9 days anyway. Keep in mind that if your tenant texted, emailed, or you responded by text or email by acknowledging their notice, then "written notice" to vacate is likely not an issue.
The bigger issue is whether or not your tenant owes you rent. Did your tenant pay a "last month's rent" when she began renting. If so, you would need to apply that.
