This is regarding a workers comp case. I am not getting any help at all. I reported injury 5/2017. Is it to late to go with a different firm?
You can change lawyers.
I am a former federal and State prosecutor and have been handling criminal defense and personal injury cases for over 22 years. The above answer, and any follow up comments or emails, is for informational purposes only and not meant as legal advice.
Before you change lawyers make sure the problem is not on your doctor's end. If you had certain types of injuries the case will not be evaluated until at least one year after the LAST treatment, or until one year after you have reached maximum medical improvement. Perhaps your doctor is still treating you or has not stated you have reached maximum medical improvement. I suggest you schedule and office appointment to review your case with an attorney. That is a very fine firm, be careful about changing simply because you think something should have happened.
This is merely a general response to a common inquiry and does not create an attorney client relationship. An attorney client relationship can only be established by a meeting with the writer or a member of his firm, and a written authorization to represent.
Use the Avvo "Find a Lawyer" tool and seek a free consult from another lawyer. You can switch at anytime. Good luck.
