I work as a marketing manager for a company and the owner is paying me below salary legally and his excuse is he will give it to me at end of year on back end with bonus. I was not aware of this prior to him treating me like this and withholding my pay without my permission. I never agreed prior to have my salary withheld and work for peanuts. My salary is way below minimum wage.
I believe it is worth further exploring and discussing your case with a New York Labor & Employment Attorney.
You deserve to be paid for your work pursuant to the terms of your employment (and/or above minimum wage, whichever is higher). You should speak with a qualified employment/labor attorney.
You should speak with an employment attorney as soon as possible to discuss further as you may have a claim for wages you are owed.
