I told my supervisor that I have a heart condition and now everyone I work with now know that I have a heart condition when I haven’t told them I have people who comes up to me daily asking me is I’m ok that there heard that I was sick
Unless you have an employment contract that states to the contrary, you have no heightened “Expectation of Privacy” and are considered an "at will" employee and can be fired for "no reason" or "good reason", but not based on race, religion, gender, age, etc. If you are terminated because of your race, gender, age, religion, sexual identity, disability, etc., then you should report it as such to the Human Resource Director at your place of employment. If that does not resolve the situation, consult with your State Employment Agency or the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
