my SSDI and ssi benefits stopped . I appealed. and saw a federal court judge. She granted my benefits .When I started receiving my benefits I didn't realize that I was getting only ssi and not both. The amount was the same Now I realize what a huge difference in the programs. Shouldn't that have been noticed ???
Did you have an attorney? If so, you should clarify with them what the judge ruled.
Are you sure that only the SSI was ordered to be continued? When payment is begun on dual entitlement for SSI and SSDI, the SSI is paid first. If this happened very recently, it Is possible that they may still be working on the SSDI.
This is not legal advice. Without being retained or knowing the particular facts of a person’s situation, all that can be offered here is just a general discussion of the question.
