I informed management immediately they came and spoke with me and her and then they spoke with the whole department. i worked at a hospital kitchen. They didnt send her home nor me. They just told us they would let HR handle it in the morning. The rest of the evening I didnt feel safe being there I told one of the other managers that and she ignored me so I called my mother and told her to come and pick me up, when she arrived i was outside in full panic attack patients that were leaving the hospital were helping me when my mother pulled up. We went inside the hospital to get my purse and coat and we saw the manager and the girl who threaten my life my mother asked her (manager) what had went on tonight because she had gotten a call from me, she told my mom she couldnt discuss it with her she ok could you let Marie(Supervisor) that Tashira is leaving for the rest of the evening she does not feel safe due to this threatening situation, then that is when the 19 yr old girl came over walked behind me bent down ( where knives, pots, sharp objects are) my mom pulled me by her and she said " No body threatened her". She got in my mother face twice my mother asked her to back up.
This sounds like an issue with your co- worker rather than your employer.
