I felt so guilty, I went back and apologized to Walmart LP the next day. I am on disability but she said I would more than likely get a Civil Demand letter. They got back the merchandise. I had to file bankruptcy last year. Should I pay this if I get the letter or what happens if I don't? Will it affect my husband too? Please respond ASAP.
I don't know what demand they could be asking for since you returned the merchandise. However, even though you returned the merchandise they can still prosecute you criminally. Once you get the letter you should contact an attorney.
