I was about 16 at the time and felt I had no choice and had no attachment to the man. Can I change my name back to what it was prior to the adoption. My birth father died, however we did get a chance to have a 45 year reunion. We spoke every day from there on until he died. My step father doesn't even talk to me as he divorced my mother and remarried ad had a couple of children. Is the process any different being it was my birth name?
