I'm charged with theft and embezzlement in the 2nd degree. And I'm willing to do almost anything to save my career.
I am sorry to hear your career is in jeopardy. A prosecutor is not likely to drop the charges to save your career. On the contrary, the prosecutor will likely want you out of the armed forces because you have committed these crimes. I would advise that you get the best lawyer you can afford as soon as possible, and do not speak to anyone about the events other than your own lawyer. I wish you the best.

Your goal is a difficult but not impossible one. Everything about the case facts and equally important everything about you that lead up the charges must be studied in detail. Only an experienced local criminal defense who cares will take the steps to protect you.
