My father's name is Willie l reed
I'm sorry for your loss.
You should contact the law firm that is handling this or speak to the Personal Representitive of the estate.
Sorry about this but you are not allowed to use names on Avvo (I'm sure you did not know). It is an Avvo no no and you don't want to be sharing names on a public website anyway. Best wishes
If you are being represented by the firm, you should contact them for status. If your father is the client, speak to him. If a lawsuit was filed, the court should have a file that is public. You can view the court file. Some courts have info online.
Call the lawyer who is handling it. If he does not represent you, ask him if he can. If not, retain your own counsel and he or she can get the answers you need.
We are sorry for your loss. You should contact the family member who was appointed as personal representative of your father's estate as that person is likely the named representative in the wrongful death lawsuit.
Only if you are a client of that firm would you be entitled to the attorneys' firm information. If they do represent you, ask. If then they don't tell you, switch lawyers.
I offer my condolences to you. I agree with the previous answers and recommend you contact the law firm handling the case, as well as the personal representative for information. I wish you the best of luck.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.
