I purchased a fixer-upper last year that is now valued at around $123k. My daughter offered to assist me in securing a HELOC to complete all of the renovations so I quit-claimed the deed to her in order to make it possible. After a disagreement between us, she now tells me that she will not move forward with the HELOC nor deed the house back to me. I've made a terrible, terrible mistake and I'm wondering what I can do to get the deed to my home back.
Sounds like a law suit to me. Hire an attorney.
