I was married for 20 years got divorced 2006 in my settlement the judge order him to gave me 50% of his pension at retirement, I send QRDO to his job a month after the divorce was final, 5 years later call the job they said they have nothing in his files I sent a second copy but have not revived no respond.
The QRDO order should have been sent not to his employer, but to the company that administers the retirement benefits plan (401K etc).
Assuming that a QDRO was entered, a certified copy is usually sent to the plan administrator. It does not go to the employer. Once the plan administrator receives it, they will notify all parties that the QDRO is accepted or rejected. So you first need to see if the QDRO has been sent to the right people.
First, you need to find out if a QDRO was entered. In order to do that, you need to check the court file and get a certified copy if there is one, send it to the plan administrator identified in the QDRO by certified mail and wait for the administrator to determine whether or not it has been qualified. They have 18 months to qualify it. If one has not been entered, hire a lawyer.
