You need to get a DWI lawyer right away. You have serious charges against you. Do not discuss the case online. Call a qualified NY DWI attorney and meet with them. It might be a good idea to bring your parents to this meeting.
I am a NY criminal defense attorney and a former Asst. DA. While I may feel knowledgeable about a great many things in life, please understand that this does not in any way, shape, or form, constitute legal advice. This is just my take on the question presented. To get an accurate assessment of your case, you need to meet with a lawyer in your area before proceeding forward.
You face a criminal record for life unless you still have your yo. Hire a good criminal defense lawyer.
I am a former federal and State prosecutor and have been handling criminal defense and personal injury cases for over 18 years. The above answer, and any follow up comments or emails, is for informational purposes only and not meant as legal advice.
You should get a defense attorney pronto so that you may pursue the Zero Tolerance Law which will place you in a good position. If you are prosecuted under that, then you face a$125 civil penalty and $100 fee to terminate suspension. There is no jail time risk, and your license will be for six months. However, depending upon other factors, you might not get that type of disposition, so see that attorney.
