My 12 yr old broke her tib and fib at school soccer tryouts, a spiral fracture. Our 11st visit we were charged 1095. For treatment, New patient office visit, and xrays by the PA, but was told to come bk the next week to get long leg cast. The next week got charged another 600 for the cast n fiberglass that was put on by 2 xray techs while the PA watched, the next week visit was told by the dr they were going to have to due surgery to rebrake the tib n fib . they casted my child's leg wrong.the dr then Charged me 1000 for that plus a 16k hospital bill for Anastasia n all that crap. I have every cast they put on her n xrays. Should I talk to a lawyer. She had a cast for 4 months!!!
Medical malpractice lawsuits are predicated on substantial, often permanent injury to justify the onerous expense of prosecuting such a claims. I’m not sure that the facts as posted here support such requisite damages. But to be sure gather your medical records and consult local counsel for further clarity.
