I was on 12 yrs. probation and paid what I could every month. I have a lot of medical with my husband which is in Stage 3 heart and kidney failure. I still owe like 12,000 restitusion and went to court , the judge put me on 18 months more of probation at the end of my 12 yrs. and has had me pay 100. a month for a total of 1,800. dollars and the rest will go into a civil lien. My question is can the victim sue me again for balance? I am on disability and do not own anything.
Yes, there's a good chance the victim can sue to foreclose the lien; consult a good local litigator for a thorough analysis of the claim.
Hope this helps.
