divorce is final my husband must sign to have his name removed fro the deed/title. Can I fill out a quick claim deed myself and file it with the county to have his name removed from the title/deed.
Can you convey your husband's property interest by filing a quit claim deed from him to you on your own? You can file a quit claim deed he signs, but you can not sign away his interest by your own hand.
You can file a certified copy of the decree with your county clerk so the property records show what was ordered.
Why did you purchase a home in the middle of a divorce? You cannot quitclaim his interest in the property; only he can. The husband should execute a special warranty deed conveying any community property interest in house over to you. Get a family law attorney. By the fact you did this during the divorce suggests to me that you did not have a family law attorney and/or you did not speak to him or her about this. But that is wrong then talk to that lawyer about preparing a deed which the other party must sign. You cannot sign it for them.
