I'm do not know how to explain the situation well so I'll put it as I see it. My aunt fell and broke her hip I. 2012, my husband and I moved up here from NC to take care of her, we lived with her till March2014 when my sister and her husband moved in after having their house condemned on Jan.31,2014, since they moved in with our aunt, the house is infested with roaches, trash is everywhere, no running water in the bathroom except for the commode, my aunt had fallen numerous times requiring hospitalization and nursing home care, my aunt passed away in Jan 2019 three days after a fall in which she broke her leg, my question is what can I do, I honestly believe that the conditions she was made to live in contributed to her death. Since they moved in all my sister's husband has talked about was moving back to Florida after "the aunt" died, that was what he called her, her name was Eileen,in numerous texts he has stated that he was just waiting for her to die.
I had gone to city hall about the roaches as they were crossing the street into our neighbor's houses, I tried the agency on aging, I even tried a state representative after city hall and the agency on aging did nothing.

Well she is gone now. So sad how she was treated at the end of her life. Best to try to forgive if possible. Too late to help your aunt.
