My son father die and I need my mother signe any paper for me or my son.
You can contact an attorney to prepare a power of attorney (POA) for you. As i understand it, you would be naming your mother as your agent to execute papers on your behalf. I would recommend that you have your mother in PR contact an attorney there to prepare a Puerto Rican POA, email it to you, then you can execute it and send it back to them. Puerto Rican banks, realtors, etc. will be likely to honor a POA on a form that looks familiar to them. A POA drafted in Florida should be honored in the PR as well, so you can also try that option first if it is quicker and more cost effective. You may run into problems with a Puerto Rican institution or individual honoring a Florida POA.
Best of luck!
