I agree with my colleagues - call your attorney and explain the accident/mistake. Hopefully, you don't have a FTA Bench Warrant. If so, please read my Legal Guide "Quash the Warrant" for pointers on getting out of your situation. Good luck!
If this case is in Washington State, if you did not report in on time for your work crew the court probably either has or will soon be issuing a warrant for your arrest. You should be able to find out if a warrant has been issued for your arrest by calling the court and asking the court clerk about the status of your case.
You need to take action now. You should either go back to the attorney that represented you in this case, or get a new attorney, and ask your attorney to help you with this situation. If you do nothing the thing that is most likely going to happen is that sooner or arrested and end up in jail. If you get an attorney to help you with this, there may be possibility that they can help you out of this mess. If you just ignore it, things will just get worse. Get an attorney now.
I agree with the other answer, and want to add that part of the determination of how serious the mistake was depends on what you were ordered to do. If you were ordered to do 2 days before the end of October, then you are probably in better shape than if they said you must do 2 days starting no later than Oct. 1.
Contact the attorney who represented you and discuss this with him/her. If you don't want to do work crew, you'll need to go back in front of the judge but the alternatives may be worse.
Otherwise, you could also try contacting work crew and explain the circumstances. Maybe they'll reschedule you.
