Im dont want to go to jail, and loose my jobs, i have never had a dirty UA my entire time on probation, never been in trouble at all, i only have a little over a year left for probation. I dont know what to do, i call him and rescedule my appointments all the time for work, and he is always ok with. What will happen to me, how long do you think i will have too sit?
No one here on Avvo can answer your question with specificity without knowing more information, like the charge you were convicted of, you, the case, etc. Do not post this information, as anything posted online may be used against you in court.
Generally, if your probation is revoked, one of two things will happen. If you had an imposed and stayed sentence, that is the sentence you will receive. If you had a withheld sentence, you will go back in front of the judge; and the judge may sentence you to anything up to the maximum for the offense. On withheld sentences, you may end up sitting in jail without release for sometime before sentencing. You should consult with local, experienced criminal defense attorneys before turning yourself in; and preferably, hire one. If you cannot afford a private attorney, contact the local public defender's office.
