I'm am the custodial parent and have the kids.i havent talk to the kids father..my kids are on Medicaid and a private service processor served me and not the father which is the non custodial parent.Can they serve me?and what does that mean if the private service processor serves me citation?IT ALSO SAYS IM BEING SUED.SO HOW CAN THEY SUE ME IF IM THE ONE SEEKING CHILD SUPPORT?AND ITS SAYS I GOT TO WRITE A WRITTEN LETTER IN 20 DAYS OF THE DAY I WAS SERVED..DO I HAVE TO WRITE A NOTICE OR CALL THE NUMBER ?
Unless a person signs a waiver of citation they must be served at the beginning of any case. Either party/parent can file a Motion or Petition to Modify and you should read the documents carefully and spend substantial time working on your case if you are not able to retain an attorney.
