Active NY State Probate court case, hearing date established for filed Petition for Compulsory Accounting. The respondent has been personally served but has indicated he will not appear at this initial hearing. I will ask the judge to issue an Order Directing Compulsory Accounting. I am a pro se petitioner and am required to 'prepare' and file the judge's Order.
The official NYS court forms site mentions a 'checklist' for the Order but gives no form # for the Order itself or where the form might be available. Is there an NY State form # for the Order available on the web?
This is meant with the utmost respect...doing these things is not easy. Preparing a proper Order is not easy. That's why attorneys have licenses and get paid for services they render. I suggest you consult with an attorney to see if you can pay a nominal fee to have it properly drafted..
Please speak to an attorney to have your forms prepared for you. You might be able to get legal aid or a law school clinic help you, if you are indigent.
