I was wondering if there is a way to remove my name from the national retail theft database, i really need to be able to remove my name or at least know what i can do. Also, read that you can wait it out for 7 years and your name is automatically removed from the list, is it true?
I have never heard of such a database. I just researched it. It looks like software that is shared between retailers. They use it in their hiring decisions mainly.
I would think to remove your name you would have to sue them. If the information in the database is false, then you could have a civil action for defamation of character. how do you know your name is in there?
