My license was suspended previously and I did my 1 month term of no driving and successfully completed it. I went up to the DMV to get receive my license back and did that successfully as well. I asked the DMV is there any extra fees involved I was told no so I went about my day. Back in January of 2018 I was in a car accident, the cop told me my license was suspended because of a non payment but he didn’t give me a ticket at all. So I paid the fees etc. then months down the line the DMV contacted me trying to suspend my license. They told me I can request a hearing and I did just that. So I’ve requested my hearing back around the April/May area and we’re in October still no hearing. The DMV so far have sent me mail but the mail was to suspend my registration, and to suspend my license. I asked them can I get my hearing and they constantly tell me the hearing is scheduled but still didn’t receive anything. My vehicle is financed and was towed, recieved a ticket for driving with no registration and the dmv know I have a driving job for a living. They failed to give me a hearing but charged wrongfully and expected an insurance policy to accept me to avoid fees. I need help
Generally an Attorney can expedite these hearings, thus one of the reasons why people hire lawyers. Second a lawyer can generally get you a better deal at the hearing thus saving you time in regards to the loss of your license.
sounds like you have multiple things and multiple suspensions going on in one time and you're trying to lump them all together but MVC works with one suspension at a time and they don't consolidate it or combine it. Seems to me that you're having trouble keeping up with all your diff and separate issues with MVC. You would benefit from an experienced attorney to handle your matters to organize and consolidate it all for you.
Keep doing things on your own you are doing fine. Ever think maybe an attorney could do better? It sounds like you did not pay the $100 restoration fee. If so you were still suspended. You had the accident suspended, there's another 250/year for three years. No insurance suspends the registration. Every 3-40 is another 250/year for three years. That's not to mention the 9 insurance points each for three years each that puts your premiums through the roof.. When do you think it is less expensive to retain an attorney.
