I've wanted nothing more than to leave my dad's house for over six years, and my dad knows this. He and my mom have a parenting plan that, according to my dad, states that I will not be able to leave until I graduate high school. I don't know if this is true because my dad is a pathological liar, but on the chance that it is true, is there anything I can do? I thought that once I turn 18, in the eyes of the law I will be a legal adult. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Leave at 18 if you want to. You are legally an adult and they cannot restrict you. Good luck to you.
