I'm not interested in giving my child my 1st last name, so I'm looking into registering the baby with my 2nd last name.
So it would be something like this...
Name, my 2nd last name, mother's 1st last name....
Is this possible?
All my documents have my name, my last name and my 2nd last name.

First question is what makes you think that the choice of the child's name is up to you? Second thing is there are not two last names unless the last name is hyphenated. Keep in mind that you are not presumed to be the father unless you are married to the mother or sign a VAP
if you and mom can agree to a name, great. if not, you could file a court petition to declare yourself the father and ask the judge to change the name. does not always happen. happens less as the child gets older.
