I live in Ontario Canada. My mother and father got married when I was 4. They separated when I was 5. My father started paying child support when I was 8, after a court hearing and custody batter, he had a minimum wage job at the time, but he eventually went into the armed forces, my mom never took him back to court to get support adjusted. At 12 my relationship with my father started to suffer. I encountered verbal abuse from my step mother, slept in a curtained off corner of a basement while I visited my father which was every other weekend, but his girlfriends kids who visited as frequently as I did had their OWN rooms, one male, one female. I found out 6 years later this is because he isn’t my biological father, according to an online ordered DNA test, we now have no contact whatsoever, because he despises my mother and seemingly me, despite my trying to make things work between him and I. I have been through hell and back because of these issues that were out of my control for over 10 years. Am I eligible to at least get back pay for when he had a better job, since my mother was too nice not to? Also, suing my mother is not an option because she’s all I have left. Thank you!
No, you are not eligible to receive child support. Even if he did owe support it would be payable to your mom, not you.
You need to ask your question in the child custody/support forum. Good luck.
