I didn’t understand the consequences with the bond restrictions so I had a couple dirty UA’s one was on my arrangement for court didn’t know I’d be drug tested what do you think the judge will say my lawyer is saying 6 months and 5 years of probation but it’s my first offense and I’ve learned the hard way that I have to clean my act up
Your attorney is in the best position to advise you. Hopefully you have reviewed all of the evidence with them, so that you have an idea of how strong the State's case is or what legal defenses you may have to this charge. Your options are 1) plead Not Guilty and demand a trial, 2) enter into an agreed plea bargain with the DA, or 3) go open to the Judge and leave your sentencing up to him or her. Because of your age and clean record, you should also ask your attorney if there is any kind of pretrial diversion program you might qualify for. However you decide to dispose of your case, you will have to be committed to staying clean to avoid prison time.
