I have been sick and have surgeries and in and out of the hospital for months I had gotten a loan a few months ago and try to explain to them about this problem they would not work with me now they want to take me to court which is today and I just had surgery last week and I cannot make it there. I called them on the phone to try to get a different court date so that I could be there they told me to call the agency I called the agency to try to work with her work something out on payments now that I'm getting disability she was very rude and not understandable basically cussed me out and told me she had to be in court to put a judgement against me. Not sure what to do about this situation
Even if you had been able to be in Court for the hearing or had been able to delay the hearing, from what you have said, it sounds likely that the debt collector would probably have gotten their Court Judgment against you unless they were unable to show good service of process. The main thing now is to know what to do from here. If you have been unwell and unable to pay your debts, then you may want to consider filing for bankruptcy protection and get a fresh start financially. You should visit with a licensed bankruptcy attorney in your area to discuss your options in detail. Many friendly bankruptcy attorneys provide free initial consultations.
