Hello! I've just legally changed my name due to marriage. I've changed my name with Social Security, DMV, my bank, and am working on changing with other agencies (credit cards, etc.). I purchased a home this past year (I'm the only person listed on the deed...unless the mortgage company is? Not sure). I also purchased a new vehicle this year (but it is financed). I'm not sure how to go about changing the name on the deed for our home or my car.
Ironically, I had to do this at the beginning of this year. You will usually send a copy of the marriage license to your loan holders.
