Included 3 installment loans I recently signed up for in my debt settlement program
1. 3 months worth of payment into the loan
2. 2 months worth of payment into the loan
3. 2 montha worh of payment into the loan
Can I still be charged of fraud?
If all you tell us is what you revealed and you do not tell us what you hid, we can’t possibly tell you if the hiding was fraudulent. Actually, we can’t even be certain something was hidden, but it’s a fair inference from your question.
What were you accused of fraudulently doing, saying, revealing, or failing to reveal? Without knowing that no one can give you a good answer.
A person who gets a consumer loan and is unable to pay the loan back on-time is not guilty of fraud. To commit fraud is to lie or misrepresent something in order to cheat someone else.
If a debt collector threatens you with criminal charges or arrest for failing to pay back a loan, get the person's name and the name of the company where he is employed, and contact an attorney that handles Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) cases for consumers.
